First work with my new computer. Feels good to change from an 800x600 resolution to a 1280x1024 one... yes, really good =D

But I have a problem with this image. In my new wonderful screen, it looks fine. But in this computer, the one with internet, it looks ridiculously dark. I can't see the lower half of the picture, it's completely black. Maybe it's just that this screen is not well calibrated, but then, which is the correct calibration? I will have to remake many many works...

I only hope you can see the lower half correctly, and not too dark.

Ok, this one, one of my first attempts at space art. There are many space tutorials here on deviantart, and I have to say that they are great, very well explained. I have many things to learn about making planets, stars... everything. Oh yes, I'm a noob on this genre. Being a noob sucks.

About the picture... The base picture is one I took on my holidays on Peñiscola. The clouds are also mine. The textures I used for the planet are from *nighty-stock . She has good textures, and I'll need many stock textures if I'm going to try making apace art...

So the base photo is from my holidays. Hope you can see the palm trees, the restaurant, and the people walking. The title of the picture is chosen after that fact. Like... the planet is a touristic spot, and people go there to watch that moon... If moons can have rings. If not, this picture makes no sense. I guess I will have to read more information about the space, and not just make it because it's nice.

Looks fine in here, on a well calibrated monitor. Even though the lower part has a lot of shadows & darkness, the highlights are still well visible, so can´t complain about those.

There´s a lot of good sites around if you wish to adjust your monitors, just typing calibrate monitor on google will return good sites for it. :peace:

Tired and lonely. Sitting and staring
Weak and filthy. No longer caring
Wasting to nothing. The rubble of you
Hoping for something. Poison where love grew
well, im on a laptop, which are famed for showing everything brighter, and i can see it perfectly. Its the brilliant contrasts of the big screens that do this to ya.

Respect. Perfect image.

Smile: no one cares how you feel. Be vicious, vain, and vile. Have you no sense of style? You'll never be pretty until you smile. Always the best disguise. Everyone you despise will die, so smile.

Very cool image. Well done! And the bottom is a bit dark on my screen, but not black at all.

I love this one, it's kinda creepy I mean think a planet being right next to earth and it's just huge it would give me shivers. This reminds me of the possible parallel universe scientist talk about. Very nice work im going to fave it! =)
It's not too dark on my monitor. My old monitor had cathode problems so I couldn't make it any lighter by messing with the calibration. So, I say that your other monitor is too dark.
