Rinzler, sitting

Rinzler sheds a light on my dark days. He comforts me in painful moments, and merely thinking of him restores hope and warmth to my heart. He's also really hot.





I'm gonna draw him until my eyes and hands bleed. I just suck at it, I can't do him the justice he deserves. I can't get the anatomy, or the texture, or any of the things about him that make me swoon. I. Need. To. Draw. Him.

You may find the pose somewhat familiar. Well, here's the thing: last tuesday I had to give a class on Michelangelo, and while I was preparing the essay, I said to myself "hey, it would be fun drawing Rinzler on this style" And while that's not what I ended up doing, I took one of his 'ignudi' as reference for the pose here (this one: [link]) .

So it's just a little thing, to practice drawing and painting Rinzler. The background is a total failure, it looks half finished, but meh. I'd rather leave this here and move on to the next one.
