[link] Bastet on wikipedia.org Egyptian Goddess of cats, but there are many things she represents. The guy with bird head is Thot.
------------------------- Ohh, another picture based on a sky photography and it's reflection on a shiny ground! How original I am! This one started with a BEAUTIFUL stock sky photography, as usual. Take a look at it, [link] by ~xenon-stock . Then I worked with the colour, I made the reflection, the ground... Then I thought about one of *justmeina's pictures, and I wanted to look if the perspective of the picture matched somehow with my "room" And it did! I put it and drew a very basical bed thing. Then I added a cat. Why? Because I like cats, and because I didn't have any idea about the image on my head. So I took a photo from ~Axy-stock and made the walking cat , the one on the right. Then I looked for new things to add, and I tried with many pictures, but I specially liked this one [link] by ~TheBlackwoodStock and I used it as the body of Thot. But of course at first it was not Thot Oh, I also added those flag things because the sky was too empty, and I didn't want to add a planet. At first, they had some kind of chinese characters... Then I thought about adding more cats, so I added the one on the bed by ~Vova145 , the other one on the bed by ~blublu-stock and the white one by ~Stockinthebox. And then I get the idea: Lots of cats -> Why not make a Bastet femenine figure? So then I looked for a woman body and found the perfect one at =lockstock , and I wanted the perfect expression for her so I browsed and browsed until I found one of ~bluewave-stock's photos, and I used it to make her head. I dressed her so that I didn't have to put the maturity filter and everybody could see this. And Thot. He and Bastet don't make the most logical couple I could think about, but I think it's cool and I didn't want to make the one that everybody does: Anubis. And I kinda like Thot... the god of writing and such stuff. The ibis head was hard to find, but I finally used ~CaptBstock's stock. And the last piece of stock used are the palm trees, and addition from my head by using ~mystify-stock's stock. The central hieroglyphic is the name of Bastet, the other ones are symbols without concrete meaning. I'm not a big fan of egyptian mythology. You can obviously see that this picture doesn't have much of egyptian stetic (the railings are copied from some oriental designs, they are definitely not egyptian), but hmm, I hope you like this anyway. If you want to see some details.... [link] |
